The teacher told us to take out our English textbooks and put them on the ground. At first, I was a bit confused and thought that this was a strange instruction. But then I realized that the teacher wanted us to use the English textbooks as a writing surface.

I felt a bit anxious as I had never written in this way before. I took out a few sheets of paper from my schoolbag and placed them on top of the open textbook. Then I took out my pencil and started to write.

The writing surface was a bit difficult to work with since the pages of the textbook were quite stiff and the paper was quite thin. It often felt like my pencil was slipping off the pages. I had to concentrate hard to make sure that my handwriting was legible.

I had to be quite creative with my writing since I couldn't write too close to the edges of the page. I often had to turn the page in order to write the next line. This was quite a challenge since I had to make sure that my lines of writing were parallel.

Despite the difficulties I faced, I managed to complete my essay in the allotted time. I was quite proud of myself for not giving up and for pushing myself to write in such an unconventional way. Writing on the ground was a unique experience and I enjoyed the challenge of it.

In the end, I felt that writing on the ground with a textbook as a writing surface was a great way to practice my penmanship and to hone my creative writing skills. It was a fun and unique experience that I won't soon forget.
