T: Good morning, everyone! Yesterday we learned a lot about different kinds of birds. Do you still remember them? OK, now let’s look at some pictures and talk about them.

A: Some of them are now rare. They are in danger.
1.Show some pictures of red-crowned cranes .Then introduce red-crowned cranes and Zhalong to teach some important new words.
e.g. Many birds are in danger. What can we do? We can build nature reserves for birds. The Chinese government has built many nature reserves for birds. Zhalong is one of them.
Where is Zhalong? It is in Heilongjiang Province in North-east China.
What kinds of land is there? There are wetlands in Zhalong.
Why are the wetlands important for the wildlife? Because they provide food and cover for the wildlife. It is a perfect place for wildlife. Many birds live in Zhalong all year round, while some go there for a short stay.
